Davis DeVries-Dryer
Davis has been cutting hair professionally since 2019 after attending Lansing Barber College. Growing up in Metro Detroit before migrating to Grand Rapids, he and his wife Jill have a daughter and son, both of whom are way cooler than either of them.
Davis loves being a barber more every day. Pursuing a long-time dream, he opened Punch Up Barber Shop in summer 2024. He loves working with clients to find the perfect cut, being given the chance to provide people with an enjoyable, personal experience, and getting to build relationships and friendships one haircut at a time. Things like this make coming to work a privilege every day.
Some things Davis will chat your ear off about: music, Star Wars, Bruce Springsteen, comic books, fantasy and sci-fi novels, Lord of the Rings, and whatever you’re reading, watching, or listening to. Davis can’t wait to see you around the shop!

Bruce Hayden
Bruce has over a decade of experience as a barber. He grew up in Arkansas where he met his wife. Together, they have two amazing kids and an adorable pug. They moved to Chicago for a change of scene, where Bruce gained even more experience with hair, both new styles and traditional. His master skill set is the straight razor shave.
Over the years, Bruce has embraced many hobbies so you can be guaranteed interesting conversation once you're in his chair.
His interests vary from videography and film to disc golf and camping, with many other interests in between.

Ryan Brady Martinez
Ryan Brady-Martinez graduated from the Barber/Styling College of Lansing in 2017 after attending Grand Valley State University for 2 years.
Since graduating hair school, he has worked in both barbershop and salon settings, even owning his own shop for four years. After deciding business ownership wasn’t for him, he has returned to GVSU full-time to finish his degree(s) in Social Work while also enjoying being a less than full-time barber!
Ever since he was little, he has always been drawn to anything art or music related. He thinks of hair as another medium for art where he can express himself and his client's vision for their hair & style. In addition, he also views barbering as a form of “pseudo therapy” and loves the humanistic aspect of the job.
